Experts recommend using ProClear Algaecide preventatively to save on labour and costs. By treating algae before it blooms, you can avoid the significantly higher costs of reactive treatments, which can be 2-3 times more expensive. Reactive treatments also require stronger chemical concentrations, which can be harsh on the water and potentially harmful to the ecosystem. ProClear is an effective solution to keep your water algae-free.

Fish Ponds: Protect fish health and improve water quality by managing algae levels in fish ponds with precise ProClear Algaecide use, up to 3 litres per 1,000,000 US Gallons of water. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and apply treatments conservatively if fish are present.
Sewage Lagoons/Manure Pits: Improve the management of sewage lagoons and manure pits by using ProClear to reduce algae growth.
Raw Water Retention Ponds: Maintain the purity and safety of raw water retention ponds by applying ProClear to prevent the proliferation of algae and ensure a clean water supply.
Application Instructions
Apply ProClear using a sprayer. If you are targeting filamentous algae, spray the shoreline and extend the treatment 30-50 feet into the water. To ensure the sprayer works properly and doesn't clog, dilute ProClear in the sprayer. A good rule of thumb is to mix three parts water with one part ProClear, though you may need to adjust the ratio based on your sprayer's specifications. Important: If you are treating a fish pond, do not exceed a dosage of 3 litres of ProClear per 1,000,000 US Gallons of water. Overdosing can harm aquatic life.
In small ponds, the recommended application rate safe for fish is 1 ml/1000 L (approximately 1 drop).
Small Pond treatment without fish = 25 ml per 1000L
ProClear is not recommended for ponds less than 50,000 US gallons. For small ponds, we recommend AquaScape IonGen System G2.
